About syndrome

You and I have 46 chromosomes, but people with Down syndrome have only one more – 47

About one in every 700 fertilizations worldwide is a child with Down syndrome. In Ukraine, one child with such a chromosomal abnormality is born almost every day

Giving birth to a child with down syndrome is not a result of:

    Parents lifestyle
    Parents status
    Health condition or bad habits
     Nationality or religion

They are like us, they just need some support:

Children with Down syndrome can be educated and socialized. They can be useful to society in case we help them and their parents to set the lifestyle, studying and care right from the very first days.

Helping such children we make our society more tolerant and support general human values.

By increasing the competence of parents who have such special children, we return them to a full life as active members of society.

When a child with special educational needs is brought up in a family and receives qualified professional help, they grow harmoniously and develop in society.

The first years of life are the most important. Time is the most valuable resource in the early development of children with Down syndrome. Specialists of the Down Syndrome Center help parents find their resource and save time.

Another valuable thing is experience. The most important thing for UCF "Down Syndrome" is spreading experience, which contributes to the scaling of support. To do this, we conduct training for specialists who accompany people with the syndrome at various stages of life.
